I know it gets repetitive but it’s another great year for Big Guns. First up mention has to be Chadstone. It was the first of our centres to record an MAT of $1 billion – this year’s Big Guns report, Vicinity’s Chadstone has passed the $2 billion mark. What an achievement!
As Vicinity Centres is the subject of our Cover Story this issue, we profile Chadstone – it makes good reading!
In terms of MAT, the Top 20 remain the same with the exception of AMP Capital’s Garden City Booragoon and QIC’s Robina Town Centre, which are development impacted and not ranked, replaced by AMP Capital’s Pacific Fair and QIC’s Eastland, which in turn, were development impacted last year.
Star performers in the Top 20 were Chadstone and Westfield Chermside, both up 10%, the latter moving up to 5th place from 8th last year. Scentre Group recorded some great rises in the Top 20 with Westfield Bondi Junction powering ahead with a 5% rise and Westfield Sydney up 6%.
