Stockland Rockhampton
Stockland celebrated the official opening of ‘The Terrace’ at Stockland Rockhampton. A $7-million, 250-seat indoor/outdoor dining precinct, it offers customers a new place to meet, eat, and socialise with family and friends. John Schroder, Group Executive and CEO of Commercial Property at Stockland, joined Michelle Landry MP, Federal Member for Capricornia, Mayor of Rockhampton, Councillor Margaret Strelow, and key representatives from the community to officially open the new dining precinct.
Schroder says, “The Terrace has been created to respond to customer demand for a greater array of casual dining options in Rockhampton. We are proud to be delivering this first-class dining experience, which we hope the entire community will enjoy. The Terrace brings together a tantalising range of international foods and flavours and activates the entire centre by providing an inviting new dining destination where friends and family can meet for coffee and cake, a relaxing lunch, a quick bite or a family dinner.”
To celebrate the opening, Stockland hosted a special celebratory lunch with key members of government and the community, as well as the new Terrace retailers discussing new opportunities for business growth in the region.
“Rockhampton is an ‘engine room’ for Central Queensland,” Schroder added, “with a high level of local infrastructure and a well-diversified regional economy. Food service, in particular, presents excellent opportunities for business entrepreneurs in the region and we are confident that our new retailers on The Terrace will go from strength to strength.” SCN
