From August 1 to 31, Ed.Square will be transformed into a vibrant winter wonderland, lighting up the shopping and entertainment precinct in southwest Sydney.

Expect magical days and neon nights with light installations, roaming performers, glow-in-the-dark fairy floss and fun family activities – plus, ‘kids eat free’ at participating retailers throughout the month, with great offers from Burger Point, Enzo’s Cucina, Lone Star Rib House & Brews, Gami Chicken, Max Brenner and Masala Kitchen.

Each Monday to Thursday between 5pm and 8pm, Ed.Square Town Centre’s dining precinct, Eat Street, will be filled with roaming entertainers, including winter-themed stilt walkers, snowflake characters, LED robots and hula hoop performers.

On Saturday 6 August and Saturday 27 August, customers can pre-book to put on their dancing shoes for a free Silent Disco from 5pm to 9pm, with limited spots available.

The centre’s unique dining and boutique bar venue, Subset 27, will host a Speed Dating event on Thursday 18 August. Presented by podcaster and dating expert, Jana Hocking, singles will be able to meet a potential new match in a fun and relaxed environment while enjoying a delicious meal and drink, included in the ticket price.

Meanwhile, kids will be able to take part in LED Hula Hoop activities on Saturday 20 August and Friday 26 August from 5pm to 8pm, bringing out their inner circus performer! Plus, kids will eat free at participating retailers

Amanda Whittle, Senior Centre Manager, says “Ed.Square truly does offer something for everyone, and this month-long campaign really celebrates that. This jam-packed winter line-up of free family fun, ticketed events and kids eat free offers are not to be missed. So, rug up and include a visit to Ed.Square on your to-do list this August!”

The must-see installation is the Infinity Blade – a bespoke interactive infinity mirror unique to Ed.Square, created by Paper Moose.

Carl Tindall, Project Manager at Paper Moose, said “Paper Moose and Ed.Square believe simple moments of family fun can be infinite, so we wanted to create something that delivered these magical moments. The varying states of the blade allow customers to choose their level of interactivity – the more active they are with the blade, the more vibrant it will become – with the results being different every time.”

The Infinity Blade will be located in the heart of Eat Street, with customers encouraged to upload their interaction with the blade to social media and use the hashtag #EdsWinterfest for a chance to win retailer prizes.
