In a move to make its customers feel safe and respected at all times, RetPro Management Pty Ltd, is launching a nationwide public safety initiative called ‘Respect Protect Connect’ for all RetPro managed shopping centres Australia-wide.
Respect Protect Connect (RPC) is a proactive initiative developed to reinforce the message that RetPro managed shopping centres has ‘zero tolerance’ for any disrespectful and unsafe behaviour within their centres.
The RPC initiative highlights security and safety operations, some of which are new and some that are long term procedures that RetPro managed Shopping Centre Management want to reinforce. As part of the nationwide campaign roll out, all RetPro managed shopping centres will promote the campaign across their digital channels in addition to floor and door decals that will be positioned at the main entrances. Centre Management, retail staff and contractors will be wearing RPC lanyards with a reference card that informs customers of the RPC campaign in relation to their personal safety and legislation pertaining to safety protocols.
Other initiatives include Centre Management and retailers taking part in training workshops to develop skills in identifying and diffusing potential negative behaviour or security breaches before they arise. Centre Management teams will continue holding regular meetings with local Police to discuss proactive opportunities to minimise the chances of incidences occurring within their centres.
Graham Terry, Managing Director at RetPro Management says, “We are committed to implementing the RPC framework through all of our managed centres which will have far reaching benefits to enhance the safety of all of our shopping centre communities.
The campaign which has already been delivered at Armada Dandenong Plaza, has been well received and supported by retail brands, contractors, and management teams. RetPro managed shopping centres are family-friendly environments and every individual inside our centres has a right to feel safe and respected at all times.”
“By setting a safety standard and backing this up by educating staff on how to manage and diffuse situations, we are getting on the front foot and proactively investing in personal safety from all perspectives both during and post COVID-19. RPC is part of RetPro’s culture and is yet another example of the expertise our retail professionals provide when managing shopping centres.” said Terry.
