In an effort to support local fresh food retailers, Pacific Werribee has launched its ‘Shop for your School’ campaign giving local primary schools the chance to share in $30,000 worth of cash prizes.
Customers who shop at Pacific Werribee’s participating retailers will have the opportunity to nominate one of the 12 participating schools. The top three schools that tally the most money towards their school, win the cash prizes: $15,000 for first prize, $10,000 for second prize and $5,000 for third.
Pacific Werribee General Manager, Ryan Ling, is thrilled to be launching a campaign that not only encourages customers to visit the centre’s fresh food retailers, but also provides a welcomed financial boost for primary schools in the local area.
“We are always exploring opportunities to add genuine value to the community and the launch of ‘Shop for your School’ is one way we can give back to our local schools.
In addition to the financial prizes, we are also providing 7,500 students with water bottles, crayons, and tote bags, plus a fridge magnet to remind parents to save their receipts and nominate their local school. We cannot wait to see the competition kick-off and the schools battle for the win.” Ling said.
The ‘Shop for your School’ campaign runs until 26 June and has already received more than 1,000 entries which has resulted in more than $100,000 worth of receipted sales.
Customers can visit the ‘Shop for your School’ display, located outside Woolworths, where they can snap a photo of their receipt and upload it to the competition portal on the Pacific Werribee website to enter. Shoppers who participate also go in the draw to win an array of weekly prizes including free groceries for a month, gift cards and gym memberships.
