A number of Mirvac Retail’s shopping centres across NSW, Queensland and Victoria have launched professional Easter photo sets, inviting families, couples, friends and pets to have their photos taken for colourful keepsakes this April.
Tying in with school holidays, each destination is celebrating the annual holiday of indulgence with an array of events and activities, from a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Broadway Sydney to Easter egg decorating displays by local schools at Orion Springfield Central.
Mirvac’s National Brand Programs Manager, Nicole Addinall said, “We’re always looking for new ways to bring our communities together and Easter photography is a trend growing in popularity across the world. We’re excited to be the first to launch them portfolio-wide in shopping centres here in Australia and our teams have done an incredible job, delivering a program of themed events to further celebrate the holidays.”
The festivities kicked off on Saturday 2nd April and runs until Thursday 14th April, with bookings open now on each shopping centre’s website. To add to that, from Moonee Ponds Central in Melbourne, to the Sunshine Coast’s Kawana Shoppingworld, they’re creating events and activations with something for everyone to enjoy.
“We couldn’t be happier with our Easter photo sets, they look incredible and the photos will make beautiful keepsakes. It’s rare that Easter falls over the school holidays, so we wanted to go all out this year to put on some extra fun for our communities. We hope they all find the time to relax, feast and connect with loved ones,” said Addinall.
Moonee Ponds Central has arranged for the Easter Bunny to pop in to hang with the kids and take photos, while Bakers Delight is giving away free packets of Hot Cross Buns to shoppers.
An Enchanted Easter Wonderland has popped up at Broadway Sydney, with the Easter Bunny posing for photos. The centre is hosting Mad Hatters Tea Parties with Alice as well as a series of free craft workshops for the kids where they can make their own carrot treat bags and Easter Bunny party hats.
Sydney centres, Rhodes Waterside and Stanhope Village Shopping Centre are also hosting special Easter photography, with Bakers Delight at Stanhope Village also giving away a free six-pack of hot cross buns for every $40 spent in the centre between now and Sunday 10 April.
Moving to Queensland, Orion Springfield Central has partnered with 13 local schools who have each decorated a beautiful Easter Egg, now on display in the Target Mall. Customers are invited to vote for their favourite egg with $500 donated to the winning school. To add to the fun, there are $5 movie screenings of Rabbit Academy at Event Cinemas, Easter Egg Hunts and Easter Craft workshops for the kids to create their own Easter Hats and Baskets.
Finally, on the Sunshine Coast, Kawana Shoppingworld has a cute Easter photo set, alongside kids workshops and childminding. To book a professional photo, or for more details on these events, visit the centre’s website.
