Brisbane’s iconic shopping centre destination, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, has continued its school holiday success with its most recent April activation – Indro! Hive – drawing record crowds and boosting foot traffic by the thousands compared to the same time last year.

Renowned for its free school holiday activations, Indro! Hive, at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre was an engaging educational board game designed to introduce children to the crucial role bees play in our food supply and their contributions to the wellbeing of our planet.

The engaging school holiday activation resonated strongly with shoppers and families alike, with pre-bookings selling out, more than 3,300 participants taking part in the event, and over 13,000 customers visiting the centre compared to their previous April school holiday activation.

With an archive of exciting school holiday activities spanning a virtual art studio, skating rink, mini golf and more, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is dedicated to creating a vibrant community within the centre and providing a welcoming space for children and families to enhance the overall shopping experience.

Jessica Tye, Senior Marketing Manager at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre said school holidays is a fun and busy time in centre, with a continued request for activities from their customers.

“We always have something happening over the school holidays, and it’s so great to see families returning each school break to explore what’s on and new in centre.

“Running three very different, unique and innovative school holiday activations per year means our community can look forward to visiting our centre knowing there is fun and entertainment to be had, while also supporting our retailers,” said Tye.

Steven Ihm, Centre General Manager said the centre is determined to continuously deliver engaging, educational and free experiences for families to enjoy throughout the school holidays.

“We see the importance of providing our customers with more than just a shopping destination, especially during the school holidays. We know that these periods can be costly and challenging for parents when trying to keep their families occupied, which is why we are so focused on offering these unique activities that can bring a bit of free fun and entertainment to their days.”

Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is managed by Dexus and is situated in the heart of Brisbane’s premium western suburbs and provides an inspiring shopping experience to local residents and visitors alike.
