Haben’s Casey Central, The Pines Shopping Centre, Forest Hill Chase and Croydon Central have partnered with ‘The Nutrition Guy’ on a four-month campaign centred on promoting fresh food and healthy meal options for families.
The food-centred campaign has just launched across the four shopping centres in Melbourne’s East and Southeast, in partnership with Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist, Joel Feren, also known as The Nutrition Guy.
Joel is a recipe developer who believes any dish can be made more nutritious by swapping ingredients and using alternative cooking methods.
To kick things off, The Nutrition Guy has developed the Nutrition Kitchen; a collection of delicious and healthy recipes that families can enjoy making at home, using ingredients from each centre’s fresh food retailers. These recipes are available for shoppers to download from the individual centre websites, with a new batch of recipes released each month until December 2023.
In addition to the Nutrition Kitchen, The Nutrition Guy will also be running ‘Tiny Chefs in the Kitchen’ cooking workshops for kids and parents. During each half hour session, little ones will get the chance to make delicious and easy snacks that can be recreated at home with the help of mum and dad.
Tickets to each session cost $5 per child, with all proceeds going to local men’s mental health charity partner, The Male Hug.
Later in the year, Joel will be visiting each shopping centre to host a series of free cooking demonstrations, featuring a selection of dishes from the Nutrition Kitchen recipe collection.
