On Friday, 8 March, Australian singer-songwriter and drummer G Flip headlined a pop-up event at Chadstone – The Fashion Capital for Fox FM’s Brekky in the Burbs supported by UA Brewing Co.
G Flip super fans made their way to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest integrated retail and lifestyle destination to experience the early morning performance hosted within the centre’s entertainment and dining precinct, The Social Quarter. The intimate gig was fuelled by coffee and breakfast rolls from UA Brewing Co., with the early-hours offer of fried chicken proving particularly popular with the hosts of the Fifi, Fev, and Nick program.
Chadstone Centre Manager Daniel Boyle said, “This is certainly something very special, and we were very excited to host it in The Social Quarter. It’s a credit to G Flip that so many of her fans made the early morning trip, before work or on the way to school, to attend their performance.
“We are immensely proud to be able to support UA Brewing Co. to provide a venue for such a popular event and to be involved in this initiative by Fox FM to bring exceptional local talent to fans in Melbourne’s suburbs,” said Boyle.
Enthusiastic music lovers enjoyed a two-song set featuring the artist’s most popular hits, including Worst Person Alive and a cover of Cruel Summer; the intimate event allowed attendees to get up close and personal with G Flip for the first-ever acoustic performance of the immensely popular Taylor Swift cover.
The Melbourne-born musician has recently dominated the charts, with their About Us debut album gaining over 180 million streams. They also debuted at #1 on the ARIA vinyl charts and #6 on the Album charts.
