GPT’s Highpoint Shopping Centre in Melbourne is running a free weekly activity program designed for children aged two to five to learn, play and explore.

While the Mini Makers program has traditionally consisted of craft activities in centre, Mini Makers at Home encourages children to explore simple items and ingredients found around the home that can make for hours of fun.

Highpoint’s Senior Marketing Manager, Teddi Tzambazis, said: “Adapting to current COVID-19 restrictions, we have relaunched Mini Makers from a free, in-centre activation series to take-home activity packs – ensuring the Mini Makers community can still enjoy the creative and inspiring activities that form part of the much-loved kids program.”

Classes will include a selection of craft, cooking, fitness and science-based activities all themed around Australian wildlife for the little ones to learn and enjoy. While aimed at children aged two to five, these activities are also suitable for older siblings to join in.

“Highpoint’s Mini Makers is a weekly, collectable program for kids aged two to five years, that includes free activity packs ready for collection in-centre every Wednesday during the school term. This term, the packs are an Australian Outback theme, introducing our local families to weird and wonderful creatures that can be found in their own backyards,” said Tzambazis.

The activity packs are released each Wednesday morning and can be collected from the Mini Makers stand on Level 2 near Woolworths. There are eight packs to collect. Customers who can’t make it to Highpoint can download their Mini Makers Map from the Centre’s website.
