Shoppers are in for an extra treat this festive season with the launch of ‘Christmas Infinity Rooms at Market City’ – a one of a kind, immersive in-centre installation where visitors can step inside to experience never-ending Christmas scenes. This modern take on Christmas is sure to delight all the family and the many tourists and locals visiting Sydney’s Chinatown during the season.
Providing the perfect Instagrammable shopping break, the Christmas Infinity Rooms feature three spaces filled with multi-sensory illusions – from a beautiful reindeer forest to a fluorescent Christmas scene.
Using mirrors or graphics, objects and lighting to intrigue the senses, the walls, floors and ceilings’ surfaces create endless vistas, allowing guests to gaze into infinity. Two external photo opportunities of magical Christmas scenes will also be on show for those who want to capture a great festive shot.
David Yam, Market City Centre Manager said “Market City has always worked to bring extraordinary and unique experiences to our shoppers, alongside the abundant variety of retail outlets and dining establishments that we have. The Christmas Infinity Rooms were created to give visitors an out of this world experience and we expect it to be a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the busy Christmas shopping period.”
The latest in-centre installation marks an exciting temporary addition for Market City, and will be open from 8 November until 24 December.
The centre also celebrated the completion of its new 1909 Dining Precinct earlier this year. Home to a stellar line-up of ten deluxe Asian eateries, and the result of 13 months of redevelopment. The precinct is home to The Dolar Shop, a Macanese hot pot restaurant chain, fabled restaurant YAYOI Japanese Teishoku, artisanal Korean BBQ restaurant Kogi and Chinese eatery Beijing Impression.
Located in the heart of Sydney’s bustling Chinatown, Market City is one of Sydney’s premier retail hubs, housing more than 100 leading retail brands, specialist stores and Paddy’s Markets.
