Chatswood Chase celebrates the arrival of spring with an inspiring fashion lecture series presented by fashion designer and TV personality Claudia Chan Shaw. The centre will be alight with designer showcases revealing the season’s must-have looks and trends, and a stunning pop-up Cherry Blossom Garden.
Each Tuesday throughout September, Claudia Chan Shaw will delve into the history of some of fashion’s most coveted and loved items. Talks will include a look at Coco Chanel’s influence and legacy in Beyond the Little Black Dress, a look at our fascination with shoes and the stories behind them in Well Heeled – Shoes Through Time, an exploration of accessories from the must-have handbags to the iconic sunglasses in The Finishing Touch – Accessories and an engaging discussion exploring the world of jewels in Material Girl – Baubles, Bangles and Bling.
Shaw is the co-designer and director of Australian fashion label, Vivian Chan Shaw, with designs represented in the permanent collection of Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum. Claudia is also well known for her role as co-host and presenter on ABC TV’s Collectors.
Chatswood Chase Sydney will present free pop-up designer showcases in Centre Court. The showcases will feature the latest spring fashions and accessories for men, women and children from leading designers and retailers including David Jones, Cue, Sass & Bide and Country Road.
Throughout September and October, shoppers will have the opportunity to visit the exclusive Cherry Blossom Garden complete with stunning pink cherry blossom trees and peacock chairs – the perfect place for shoppers to relax and snap an Insta-worthy selfie.
