As the cost of living rises across Australia, 27 Charter Hall shopping centres around the country are supporting its communities to relieve some financial pressures of the weekly grocery shop and petrol top-up.
Consumers are experiencing significant price increases across many food and grocery categories, the most notable being fresh fruit and vegetables and non-durable household products (toilet paper, dishwashing soap and light bulbs). In addition, the rising cost of fuel is also having a significant impact on the family budget, with the average household spend on petrol increasing to $278 a month.
Acting in the best interest of its customers and communities, Charter Hall combines insight and inventiveness to unlock hidden value.
Based on the results of Charter Hall’s recent shopper poll, the shopper community have said that their most desired rewards are fuel and groceries.
From Thursday 11 August 2022, Charter Hall centres are rewarding shoppers with more than $300,000 worth of fuel and supermarket gift cards.
The campaign has been introduced across 27 participating Charter Hall shopping centres nationally, staggered over a six-week period.
Megan Biddle, Regional Marketing Manager for Charter Hall said, “Supporting the local community continues to be a priority in our centres. We’ve partnered with our major retailers – Woolworths, Coles and local AMPOL stations, to provide our community with a value add to their everyday shop. We understand the increased financial pressures on households and invite our local community to have some reprieve with a share in our $12k or $15k giveaway per centre.”
Customers completing a weekly shop (spend $30 at speciality stores or $80 at major stores) at a participating Charter Hall centre, can claim a gift card worth up to $50 from the trolley of fortune located in centres.
