Frasers Property Australia has appointed experienced architect and environmental designer Kate Nason as Sustainability Advisor, boosting its highly talented sustainability team.
Having previously held roles with Atelier Ten, ARKit and Jackson Clements Burrow, Nason’s experience ranges from single and multi-residential buildings to urban scale, mixed-use developments, civic and institutional projects, and more.
She has recently been involved in a range of sustainable community developments with Development Victoria, as well as stand-alone buildings targeting zero-carbon status.
Through her research into finding ways to accelerate the transition to a net-zero future, Nason was awarded the Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship by the NSW Architects Registration Board, and she is currently the Director of Partnerships and Major Events for the Australian Passive House Association.
Based in Melbourne, Nason will provide technical advice, guidance, education and influence to Frasers Property’s development teams to ensure sustainability is embedded throughout all project stages.
“This is an exciting time in the sustainability sector in Australia. Frasers Property is a global leader in sustainability in real estate and I am excited to work with like-minded people to accelerate and up-scale positive change in the built environment, so we can carve out a more liveable, resilient and regenerative future for all,” says Nason.
Nicholle Sparkes, General Manager Delivery & Operations, Frasers Property Australia says Nason’s experience and passion represent an important addition to the team.
“Nason shares the values and passion of our team, and has the experience, skills and networks to make a real contribution to our sustainability strategy. Sustainability underpins all our operations because we believe in a better, cleaner future, and Nason’s appointment helps us achieve better outcomes through the full property cycle,” Sparkes says.
