Orion Springfield Central

Federal, state and local government representatives officially opened the stage-two expansion of Mirvac’s Orion Springfield Central in South East Queensland.

Mirvac’s CEO and Managing Director Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz said the completion of the Stage-two expansion delivered to the community a new entertainment destination, dining experience and over 30 fashion stores, almost doubling the footprint of the centre which is now among the top 10 largest shopping centres in the state. Mirvac’s Head of Retail, Susan MacDonald said the centre will provide over 165 speciality stores to match its lifestyle and leisure activity focus as a community hub as well as delivering convenience and connectivity to the community of south-west Brisbane and the Ipswich region.

The expansion means Orion Springfield Central now boasts an array of the major chain stores including Big W, Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and a large new-format Target store. SCN
