The Square Mirrabooka has officially launched its new $3.2 million Fresh Food Precinct. The significant renovation is anchored by Woolworths, and with all existing speciality fresh food retailers enjoying a new fit-out, the precinct now presents as a global market hall. Designed to enliven all five senses creating an authentic market experience, this is a unique destination unlike any other in Perth.
The centre celebrated with entertainment for the whole family, cooking demonstrations by celebrity chef Cooking with Tenina, and plenty of giveaways.
Alwin Bax, Asset Manager, Perron Group, said we are really looking forward to welcoming our community to our brand-new Fresh Food Precinct.
“It’s a welcoming space which invites our customers in to peruse and purchase food and produce from our fresh food retailers. We know people will love to shop in and visit our new precinct and are sure to be impressed by the new design. All of our fresh food speciality stores have enjoyed interior and exterior re-fits. We hope it will become even more of a cultural hub for our community, a space to meet and experience some of each other’s food and culture in a warm and welcoming environment.”
“The Fresh Food Precinct aim is to make shopping a more convenient and enjoyable experience for our customers, from ease of parking and accessibility, to the availability of all the varied fresh food and produce options, and we believe the new precinct delivers on those aspects and more,” Bax said.
As part of the opening weekend celebration, Cooking with Tenina will be making a combination of her own recipes and five customer recipes from those who entered the “Does Your Recipe Rule” competition. There will also be live music, food tastings, a pop-up market, face painting, balloon twisting, henna tattoos, and spin and win with $3,000 worth of prizes.
