Lendlease today celebrated the grand opening of its $45 million stage three extension of CS Square Shopping Centre in Caroline Springs, 25 kilometres west of Melbourne’s CBD. The convenience based centre was unveiled to excited locals this morning who gathered for the opening of a new Woolworths supermarket together with new stores totalling 6,500m2 of additional space and 240 car parking spaces.

Customers will also benefit from new parenting facilities, internal lighting, landscaping and improvements to the centre’s general amenity. Other works to be completed this year include a new children’s play area and car wash. Priceline, The Jolly Miller Café, Williams Shoes and Spectacle Hub, The Reject Shop will re-open in the Centre in brand-new formats.

“With the addition of Woolworths and Priceline, plus services like dental and optometry, we have strengthened our position as one of the leading shopping destinations within the Melton area.” said Rod Kennedy, Centre Manager

In February, the development achieved a 4 star green star Design & As Built rating based on the Centre’s sustainability performance across energy and water efficiencies, design, liveability, environmental quality and innovation. More than 2,500 solar panels have been installed to power the Centre’s common areas, generating enough electricity to power approximately 110 homes.

Families will enjoy the free celebration events

To celebrate the opening, CS Square will host free events, providing giveaways and special retail offers from  today until the  7 April.
