Precinct Properties have announced its Commercial Bay retail precinct is now 100% leased with a stellar lineup of retailers, positioning it as Auckland’s most exciting new shopping destination. Showcasing an outstanding mix of more than 100 retailers across fashion, beauty, food and beverage, Commercial Bay retail is set to open in late March 2020. 

Australian streetwear brand General Pants Co have selected Commercial Bay as its third New Zealand location, taking a large space on the first floor of the retail development. Joining General Pants Co, fellow Australian retailer Husk will bring its unique mix of both self-labelled and well-renowned apparel, homewares, art and jewellery to Commercial Bay.

Commercial Bay, a significant development in Auckland city

Following the announcement of its market launch in March, London-based fashion brand COS will open its doors at Commercial Bay this autumn. The COS store spans 548m2 across two floors, housing the latest season of women’s, men’s and children’s collections.

Making its central Auckland debut is Australian activewear brand, Lorna Jane, which has developed a cult following on both sides of the Tasman. Premium Australian brand Aje, also takes up residence at Commercial Bay with a luxury pop-up store. Dedicated to raw beauty, tough femininity and effortless cool, Aje offers a curated mix of effortless essentials and statement occasion pieces. Fashion favourite, Veronika Maine also joins the latest line up along with Australian luxury sleepwear brand Papinelle.

For fitness-focused shoppers, well-established athletic apparel label lululemon will open with a highly visible new store on lower Queen Street.

Precinct Properties Chief Executive, Scott Pritchard, says its great news that Commercial Bay will open fully leased. “Ensuring the heart of Auckland city has an unparalleled retail offering is something that has been front of mind for us. Commercial Bay is unlike other developments seen in this part of the world – and not just in scale. Each retailer has been carefully considered so that all Commercial Bay visitors, from those working nearby to international guests to our city, all enjoy a truly world-class shopping and food and beverage experience,” he said.

This latest retail announcement ties together Commercial Bay’s high-quality mix of first-to-market international fashion labels, such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Kate Spade, Herschel Supply Co, Scotch & Soda and Furla, with well-cemented brands New Zealanders know and love.

The announcement bolsters an impressive lineup of retailers already confirmed: Scotch & Soda, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Superette, Rodd & Gunn, 3 Wise Men, R.M Williams, H&M, Kookai, Scarpa, Furla, Kate Spade, Veronika Maine, Just Another Fisherman, twenty-seven names, Barkers, Asics, Icebreaker, Solect, Sandro & Maje , Storm, Whitcoulls, Ripcurl, Wittner, Hugo Boss, Federation, Herschel Supply Co, L’Occitane, Harker Herbals, Loxy’s Hair Boutique, Lovely by Skin Institute, Skintopia, Art of Nails, Parfums Christian Dior, Mecca, Shampoo & Things, and Gentry Barbers.
