Urban planning for Watergardens has always been inspired and guided by the way the community wants to work, live and come together, piece-by-piece. The next staged evolution of Watergardens Town Centre will introduce a new food experience – The Marketplace. The bustling new modern food marketplace is reflective of the many cultures and traditions that define the special spirit of Melbourne’s western suburbs and the city’s innate relationship with food and dining. The 5,000m2 of transformed retail space will celebrate the centrality of food in its community by delivering a combination of everyday fresh produce, continental providores, and an assortment of global street food vendors alongside a new major supermarket. It will also integrate a new children’s playground and community space for new and exciting activations and pop-ups for the community to enjoy all year round.
