As the brand new Brookfield Place Sydney nears completion at Wynyard, Brookfield Properties has announced several new specialty retailers with Sydney Barbers, T2, Gojima and Priceline among latest retailers to join $2 billion mixed-used precinct.

The new retail offerings will bring greater variety and convenience to the precinct and join other high-profile retailers including technical athletic apparel brand lululemon and European food hall concept, Locali by Romeo’s.

Priceline will relocate its pharmacy, health and beauty store from 309 George Street to the concourse, signing 365m2 of sought-after retail space on an eight-year term.

Leading Australian tea retailer T2 will open a 105m2 store on the main station thoroughfare, committing to a five-year lease term. Other exciting lease transactions on the concourse level include Sydney Barbers and premium florist Flower Train, set to open its fourth Australian store.

Elsewhere in the Brookfield Place Sydney precinct, a variety of diverse food offerings are on track to establish the development as the CBD’s latest dining destination. Sydneysiders will no longer need to decide between sushi or burgers for lunch as the unique ‘sushi-burger’ restaurant Gojima will open its doors on the lower ground level. Edition Coffee, Two Penny Coffee and Sushi Yuzen have also signed on, bringing taste and variety to the precinct.

“We are thrilled to welcome these diverse retail offerings to the precinct and bring greater convenience to tenants and locals,” said Danny Poljak, Executive Vice President and Co-Head of Brookfield Properties. “There’s no doubt that Brookfield Place Sydney will quickly become a destination with such a broad mix of food and beverage on offer.”

Designed in collaboration by Make Architects and Architectus, Brookfield Place Sydney has transformed Wynyard into a world-class urban precinct in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. The project’s centrepiece is PCA Premium Grade commercial tower (10 Carrington Street) with a total net lettable area of 59,000m2 over 27 levels, offering world-class facilities, amenities and finishes to set a new standard in workplace design. The development includes the restoration of Shell House and 285 George Street, breathing new life into a historic Sydney landmark. In addition, ~7,000m2 of high-end retail, a revitalised Wynyard Lane and a major upgrade to Wynyard Station’s George Street entrance connecting to a grand transit hall and public concourse will be completed.

The new stores are scheduled to open at Brookfield Place Sydney from July 2021.
