More than 200 retailers attended Stockland’s popular national retail events held in Melbourne and Sydney in May to hear how Stockland’s retail strategy is responding to the changing retail environment and the demands of the modern customer.
The events were an opportunity for retailers to gain insight into Stockland’s successful redevelopments – Wetherill Park, Pitt Street Mall, Shellharbour, Townsville, Hervey Bay, Rockhampton, Baldivis and Harrisdale – and its future redevelopment pipeline in vibrant and growing areas around Australia.
This year’s theme ‘Retail Designed for You’ focused on the rise of customisation and personalisation in retail, and how Stockland is working with retailers to create curated contemporary centres that are destinations for customers to meet and share experiences.
CEO Commercial Property, John Schroder spoke about Stockland’s commitment to delivering experiential retail centres that are customer-centric and offer immersive brand experiences.
To get a taste of customisation and personalisation, gin and whisky experts helped retailers to create their own signature blend. A talented illustrator also wowed guests by designing on-the-spot bespoke artwork.
Retailers were shown Stockland’s dynamic retail development pipeline video as well as an immersive fly-through for the Stockland Green Hills development and the recently approved Stockland Wendouree redevelopment, which features a new dining precinct and youth fashion offering.
General Manager Retail Leasing, Tony Tsekouras said the events are a great way to strengthen relationships with retailers and that feedback had been very positive.
“These events are a valuable opportunity to show our retailers that we understand the retail landscape and current trends,” he said.
