Get ready to welcome the arrival of Melbourne’s newest style destination…

As we go to press (November 2017), the cover story from SCN‘s last issue has come to exciting fruition, with Harbour Town Melbourne officially completing its highly anticipated $150-million redevelopment and rebrand as The District Docklands – Melbourne’s newest shopping, entertainment, dining and fresh food precinct.

Coinciding with the official store opening of H&M on Saturday, 18 November, The District Docklands will come alive with an action-packed program of events and activities from 17 – 19 November to celebrate the centre’s relaunch.

H&M is the latest brand to join an expanding stable of international and national brands including General Pants Co., Oxford, Platypus, Ozmosis, Hype DC, Cotton On Mega, Forever New, Bonds, Canterbury, FILA, Politix, Sportspower and more.

The weekend festivities include the launch of the Food Truck Park Summer Residency featuring a rotation of Melbourne’s best food trucks at a dedicated indoor-outdoor dining and bar area which will be open across the whole launch weekend and every Friday throughout summer.

Drawing inspiration from Melbourne’s iconic laneways and distinctive culture, The District Docklands is well into the process of transforming into a new, distinctly Docklands precinct providing an urban oasis and a vibrant new village for Melburnians on the edge of the CBD.
