On 24 August, Erina Fair kicked off a three-day festival to celebrate 30 years as the biggest shopping centre on the Central Coast.
The birthday milestone was an opportunity to say thank you to the local community and celebrate the Central Coast’s past, present and future.
Lendlease Head of Retail Gary Horwitz said when Erina Fair opened its doors as Central Coast Fair in 1987, there was nothing like it with six majors and 95 specialty stores.
“At the time, the centre provided a much-needed shopping destination for the people of the Central Coast who no longer had to make the trip to Sydney.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating this milestone with our customers who visit Erina Fair to shop, dine and be entertained, along with our 23 majors and 275 specialty stores that call Erina Fair home today,” Gary added.
The official event was well represented with customers, community groups and past centre management including the first Centre Manager, David Kelvin; Lendlease Head of Marketing and Communications, Property Jocelyn Harvey whose first job was Marketing Assistant at Erina Fair; and Lendlease General Manager, Retail Projects Leasing Dennis Wong who was Marketing Manager in 1993, later returning in 2003 to Leasing.
