2017 Big Guns Lunch
Another packed lunch for the premier event of the year – the SCN Big Guns Lunch – held at The Establishment Hotel in Sydney’s CBD. Top industry executives – CEOs, Directors, Heads of Retail, Leasing Directors, General Managers et al, along with some of the most powerful Retail Executives attended.
As usual, the SCN Awards for the Number 1 centres in the country, in the categories of MAT, MAT/m2 and Specialty MAT/m2, were handed out and those present received an advanced copy of the Big Guns issue 24 hours before its official release. In line with previous years, the event was the major feature in the following day’s national press – Property sections – in SMH, The Financial Review and The Australian.
CEOs all gave a five-minute presentation on their prognosis for the year ahead. All sentiments expressed were upbeat. Westfield Fountain Gate was awarded a special memento on becoming the fourth centre in Australia to achieve the phenomenal $1.0 billion dollar mark in its MAT.
Lots of networking took place, catching up with old colleagues, pressing the flesh and so on. All in all, just za great afternoon!
