Following a $400-million redevelopment, Pacific Werribee unveiled its fourth and final stage with the launch of its new Fresh Food Precinct.
The new precinct completes the centre’s fresh food offering with a new-format ALDI, Pretty’s Prime Butchers, Marketplace (a 1,000m2 fruit, vegetable, deli and grocery offer), and 13 additional specialty stores.
Over the launch weekend, Pacific Werribee brought together members of the community for a fun-filled weekend of activities, entertainment and an AFL star appearance.
Transforming the centre into a Winter Wonderland, a synthetic ice-skating rink was installed to keep the kids entertained, while shoppers were able to watch the live sculpture carving.
In terms of fresh food, there was lots on the menu: a cooking demonstration by ex-MasterChef contestant Laura Cassai, as well as tastings from the Lorna Jane Cookbook and a cheese-making workshop.
Pacific Centres’ COO, Daniel Radle says, “Wyndham is one of the highest growth corridors in Victoria and we want to ensure that we are delivering on customer convenience and having everything under one roof. We believe that our new Fresh Food Precinct does just that, enabling customers to purchase all household goods, whether it’s a full weekly shop for the family or a quick top-up or your favourite gourmet treats. This is all in addition to a great fashion offering, leisure activities, cafes, entertainment and dining.”
The Fresh Food Precinct follows the opening of the centre’s new fashion mall, including H&M and Uniqlo alongside an expanded Myer and popular Australian labels such as Mecca Maxima, Seed Heritage, Sportsgirl, Peter Alexander, Decjuba and Bardot, Cotton On and Sheike.
Pacific Werribee has been under redevelopment since March 2014 and the new precinct concludes the $400-million redevelopment, being the 8th development stage since the centre was built in 1985.
