In star fashion, Adelaide Airport has re-launched its valet parking offering by partnering with First Class Valet. Robert Horton, Founder of First Class Valet, says being in a new market like Adelaide is exciting for the business as it continues to focus on providing exceptional customer experiences across many industries around Australia.

“Airports, hospitality and tourism are much like shopping centres where the addition of services like valet parking has a huge positive impact on the customer journey,” said Horton.

Since 2014, First Class Valet (FCV) has invested in its business to bring Australians the very best in valet parking, concierge and parking services. During this time, the advancement of its ticketless and seamless technology has been the highlight of its service offering.

Horton said: “Our team are adding to the customer experience for passengers at Adelaide Airport and giving them a chance to have a luxurious travel experience. Customers can simply pull up out the front of the southern entrance to check their car in, and walk up to check in. Our team takes care of the rest.”

FCV manages the whole valet operation from end-to-end. Customers can leave their vehicles with FCV and feel secure knowing that when their vehicles are checked in, images are taken that are time and date-stamped to ensure their vehicle is returned to them in the same way it was left.

FCV are now operating the Adelaide Airport valet

Adelaide Airport Managing Director, Brenton Cox, said: “With the new service, any customer flying with any airline to any destination would be able to use valet parking. The new service will offer convenience and value for our customers.”

Horton adds, “Valet service saves precious time, particularly if you’re running late for a flight. With this valet parking service, you can bypass the inconvenience of parking your own car, and let us do all the work, allowing you to quickly unload your bags and proceed directly to the terminal entrance. This can be a lifesaver for those tight connections or early morning departures.

“Around Australia, our team have parked cars for business travellers, families and everyone who values a bit of luxury when travelling. Leaving your vehicle with a professional valet service provides peace of mind knowing that it will be securely parked in a designated area.

“Much like shopping centres, delivering ‘convenience’ is at the height of what we do,” he said. “Last Christmas, we were at shopping centres across Australia including Highpoint Shopping Centre (VIC), Rouse Hill Town Centre (NSW) and Eastland Shopping Centre (VIC). During this peak shopping period, we introduced five new sites. Of all customers surveyed, they gave our service a 4.55 star rating of overall satisfaction and 81% said they would use this service again. In Melbourne, an average of 85% customers wanted the service to continue after Christmas, which demonstrates the need for quality service offerings at shopping centres – all year round.”

Horton said that working with the Adelaide Airport team had been a wonderful case-study in good partnerships.

“With our expertise in valet parking, and the airport’s focus on investing in service and experience, we’ve been able to launch this service efficiently and successfully,” he said.

“Working with our clients is like a partnership, we plan together and we make sure all objectives are met along the way. Reporting and providing data to clients is crucial to constantly measure our joint success, however providing a convenient, seamless customer experience is at the heart of what we do.”
