South Australia’s shopping and dining experience is being reshaped by the Cohen Group’s visionary Burnside Village, providing a next-level destination for locals, interstate and international visitors.
Ranked the number one Mini Gun Centre by MAT in Australia by Shopping Centre News for three consecutive years in 2021-2023 and located only 5kms from the Adelaide CBD, Burnside Village unifies the city, metropolitan and eastern suburbs as the place to meet.
With a diverse and affluent audience for dining and complemented by free day and evening undercover car parking, the centre is at the heart of the premium experience within Adelaide.
What’s most exciting is the addition of Stage 6, which is set to bring a new dimension for F&B operators looking to enhance their brand. As part of Stage 6, around 20,400m2 of GLA will be added which will effectively double the size of the centre to approximately 39,520m2.
This will allow for the delivery of more than 80 new specialty stores bringing the total to almost 200, creating a well-rounded place for friends and family to meet and enjoy all that the centre has to offer.
The evolution will reinforce Burnside Village’s reputation as a world-class shopping destination with three new levels of retail and dining including a new premium mall, youth fashion, an elevated dining experience, home and lifestyle, entertainment and a health and wellbeing precinct.
Colliers National Director of Retail Leasing, Ben Laycock expressed how excited he was to be marketing this next stage of Burnside Village, with the incredible dining experience expected to continue to draw in a new and exciting range of operators to complement the premium quality tenancy mix.
Cohen Group Chief Executive Officer, Gregg Downer said the expansion of Burnside Village is a game-changer, providing the opportunity for high-quality, entrepreneurial food and beverage operators to make their mark.
“The expansion of Burnside Village will significantly grow its affluent local market, while also attracting interstate and international visitors,” said Downer.
“Bringing premium retail and dining experiences under one roof will be a first in Adelaide creating a destination for likeminded shoppers and food lovers.”
A diverse range of hospitality experiences will broaden the interest and attract new dining offerings to Burnside Village.
The food on offer will focus on unique ‘first of’s’ and ‘new-to-market’ restaurants and bars, casual dining eateries, and cafes that reflect the diverse and sophisticated Burnside Village community.
As Adelaide’s new premier dining destination, Burnside Village will be a lively day and night food precinct that encourages patrons to dwell and socialise and discover memorable experiences.
Burnside Village offers F&B operators the rare opportunity to lease expansive restaurant spaces with premium north facing balconies and amazing views to the city, hills and coast. It gives prospective tenants the scope to elevate the standard of design and bring their unique hospitality vision to life, and create a one of a kind dining experience with quality material finishes and inviting spaces. All these elements combine to make Burnside Village unlike any other shopping centre, creating the ultimate experiential journey for those visiting.
With about four million visits per year and an average spend of $62.83 per visit, the service trade area has expanded by 7.8% since 2019, with approximately 269,000 people in 2021, with a key eye on the future.
In a growing catchment, Burnside Village has cemented itself as one of Australia’s premier precincts, with the new design to feature a show-stopping 2,200m2 triangular formed Lanik glass roof.
On top of the unique design, sustainability is at the heart of the Burnside Village community who prioritise the implementation of best practice initiatives in energy, waste, water and building materials.
Burnside Village is seeking submissions from entrepreneurial food and beverage operators who appreciate the theatre of dining, with the Expression of Interest campaign closing on 31 January 2024.
