An outdoor ice rink has come to Rouse Hill Town Centre for one of Sydney’s largest winter outdoor events. Over four weeks, Winter Fair will host a range of events for all ages, including school holidays activities.

The centrepiece of Winter Fair will be an outdoor ice rink that will be open at Market Square between Monday 25 June to Sunday 22 July, with other activities including silent disco sessions, bubble soccer, a flannelette winter pyjama party and more.

Rouse Hill Town Centre’s Regional General Manager, Dave Moreton, said the event was a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors.

“We are excited to be hosting one of Sydney’s most unique winter-themed events for the Hills community, with the impressive pop-up ice rink and a month-long calendar of activities, including a program for kids over the school holidays,” he said

Kids will have a chance to make their own Frozen Silly Putty from 9 to 13 July (the first week of school holidays) in the snowflake pop-up workshop held in the Food Terrace. During the second week of the school holidays a Snow Zone will be on show in a Winter Wonderland set, with a snow making workshop and snow play area from 16 to 20 July.

“Rouse Hill Town Centre is proud to be bringing a special winter experience to the Hills, providing the community with access to a memorable experience at their local town centre,” said Moreton.

The ice rink prices are the most competitively priced in the area at $10 for all to skate under the clear marquee with twinkling fairy lights. The Winter Fair follows on from a freestyle motocross show at the centre earlier this year and the hugely popular Hills Illuminate Christmas-themed outdoor event last year.

Rouse Hill Town Centre opened in 2007 and changed the face of retail and residential living in North Western Sydney. Designed for the community, Rouse Hill Town Centre is located in the Hills District as part of The New Rouse Hill, approximately 35 kilometres north west of the Sydney CBD. The centre combines the traditional values and streetscape of a contemporary market town with the latest in shopping, dining and entertainment, and has set a new standard for sustainable retail developments
