The Western Australian shopping centre market hots up with another development opening bringing a new retail experience for Perth customers. Now it’s time for Westfield Carousel which will open the doors to its $350-million redevelopment from August 30, once again making it the largest shopping centre in Western Australia.
In time for spring, the centre will deliver a new standard in fashion, dining and entertainment, Westfield Carousel will feature a new fashion mall anchored by a new format David Jones and a rooftop dining and entertainment precinct complete with an elevated amphitheatre and first-to-WA retailers such as; Criniti’s, TGI Friday’s, Café63 , China Bar and more, to open from the end of the month.
“We’re just four weeks away from opening the doors to our new-look Westfield Carousel. With the addition of over 60 new retailers to open from launch, Westfield Carousel is set to become a place of discovery, a new world for our customers to come together and explore”, says Westfield WA Regional Manager, Chris Barton.
A destination of new experiences, Westfield Carousel will also welcome WA’s first JD Sports and Vans stores and a refurbished HOYTS, featuring a 14-screen offering with the addition of a LUX cinema and LUX Lounge. Other retailers joining the centre from opening include: Mecca, Seed, G-Star, Sheike, Wheel&Barrow, Endota Spa, Platypus, Bardot and more.
Nearing final stages of completion, Westfield Carousel is progressing at pace. The new retail spaces and indoor-outdoor entertainment and dining areas are taking shape, with plants being added and six commissioned artists also on site applying finishing touches to their works, in time for opening.
“Walking on site, it’s exciting to see our vision for a vibrant retail and social destination come to life. We’ve got some exciting things planned for opening and we can’t wait to celebrate with our customers from August 30”, adds Barton.
An urban oasis in the South of Perth, Westfield Carousel will feature lush green landscaping and bold and colourful design features, such as bespoke seating, a sky-light water feature and large-scale artworks commissioned by local and international artists, inspired by the local area.
From live entertainment and sensory play to surprise and delight activations and exciting retail offers, there’s something for everyone at the opening of Westfield Carousel.
