Belmont Forum will celebrate the next stage of its extensive redevelopment with the launch of its new Fresh Food Precinct signalling a milestone in the centre’s $65 million redevelopment today.

The Fresh Food Precinct has been carefully considered to ensure the delivery of one of the most comprehensive, well curated fresh food destinations in a Perth shopping centre.

Graeme Glass, Senior Asset Manager at Perron Group, said every element of the Fresh Food Precinct had been planned to ensure a complete fresh food shopping selection, a wide range of eateries and an improved shopping experience for local shoppers.

“Our new Fresh Food Precinct includes eleven food specialists nestled between major food retailers including a brand-new Coles, plus Woolworths and ALDI. It is a genuine one-stop culinary shopping destination for home cooks, epicureans and local shoppers where they will be able to find all the ingredients needed to create any recipe,” said Glass.

Beyond the selection of fresh food retailers, the Fresh Food Precinct offers casual seating areas, a landscaped garden entry and outdoor nature play space for kids.

“Belmont Forum is now home to a range of fresh produce, grab-n-go and catered meals, including cafés, a bakery and coffee, providing Perth residents with a new food destination to visit for breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. With an extended offering including Asian favourites Dumplings & Duckand speciality patisserie La Belle, there are many choices on offer. Plus the addition of a new speciality butcher and seafood operator, dining at home just got a whole lot easier,” said Glass.

To celebrate the opening of the new Fresh Food Precinct, Belmont Forum will host a four-day food festival – Fresh Fest– headlined by Food Hacker Rosie Mansfield.

Fresh Fest will kick off the celebrations and Rosie Mansfield will appear incentre and bring her adventurous and fun style of cooking, destined to entertain all visitors to Belmont Forum.

Rosie Mansfield – nutritionist, author and co-host of Australia’s Good Chef Bad Chef– will headline Fresh Fest which will run from Thursday 9 August to Sunday 12 August.

Fresh Fest schedule of activities include:

  • live cooking demonstrations and book signings by Rosie
  • a Coles takeover of the kitchen
  • live cooking demonstrations with Thermomix Queen, ‘Cooking with Tenina’
  • pop-up community markets
  • wellness talks and food tours.

Shoppers will also have the chance to win a trip for two to Singapore.

“Belmont Forum now offers a whole new shopping experience for local shoppers and we urge the local community to come down, join in the celebrations and get to know some of our newest retailers.” Glass said.
