Watergardens, QICGRE’s 50-hectare greenfield site in Melbourne’s north west is set to embark on its next phase of evolution with the introduction of Quest – an 86-room serviced-apartment hotel, situated on Kings Road, Taylors Lakes.

With construction to commence in November, the delivery of Quest Watergardens – positioned in one of Victoria’s strongest growth corridors – aligns with QICGRE’s long-term vision to deliver an authentic and vibrant town centre that serves the whole-life needs of its rapidly growing local community. In particular, the new development is primed to leverage the appeal of Melbourne’s metropolitan fringe as a destination for new and growing businesses.

The Marketplace, Watergardens

Located directly adjacent to Watergardens’ vibrant new market-style food destination, The Marketplace, Quest will offer visitors to Melbourne’s north-west a convenient and comfortable respite with self-contained living features and convenient access to the diverse range of dining, entertainment, and retail experiences on offer at the centre.

“The introduction of serviced apartments and conferencing facilities to the Watergardens locality represents an important marker in our plan to evolve this vital retail and entertainment hub into a thriving town centre for the diverse and enterprising residents of Melbourne’s north-west,” said Daryl Stubbings, QICGRE’s Director of Australian Investment Management.

“Combining the existing rich amenity with Quest’s home-away-from-home accommodation proved to be a winning combination at Pacific Epping, and we are extremely pleased to be bringing this extra level of visitor convenience and comfort to Taylors Lakes.” He added: “With this year’s upgrade of Station Street introducing a host of new restaurants and more options for alfresco dining, the future guests of Quest Watergardens have much to look forward to.”

Containing 86 serviced apartments across five levels, Quest Watergardens will include studio, one and two-bedroom apartments. The apartment hotel will also feature conference facilities, car parking, alongside light-filled apartments with fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities.

“Quest Watergardens is characteristic of our strategy to bring high-quality, contemporary accommodation to well activated suburban areas, in demand among our corporate clients and business travellers,” said Quest’s Head of Growth & Capital Strategy, James Shields.

“Working with trusted development partners like QICGRE, we are dedicated to making corporate stay effortless for our guests and this outstanding new hotel will be the epitome of that, placing travellers at the heart of an amenity-rich precinct.

“Melbourne’s north-west is experiencing unprecedented growth, and as the area’s most significant social and retail hub, QICGRE continues to evolve Watergardens in a way that provides access to new and modern amenities for the growing community.”

Watergardens will remain open for business throughout the development.
