A new Woolworths Supermarket has opened at Warrawong Plaza, marking the final piece to the $30 million redevelopment project completed by Elanor Investors Group.
An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 8:30am on Wednesday 10 April, with the store officially open to the community from 9:00am, followed by live music, giveaways and family entertainment.
Customers of Warrawong Plaza can now enjoy an increased level of convenient food and everyday shopping needs. This also includes a brand new six-bay Direct to Boot service.
Elanor Investors, Head of Retail, Development & Mixed Use – Matt Healy said: “We are excited to welcome Woolworths to Warrawong Plaza and be able to offer home delivery to the local community, as well as elevating the centre’s emphasis on essential and everyday needs.”
“The opening of the new Woolworths Supermarket seamlessly integrates physical retail shopping with ecommerce options, allowing customers to choose what best caters to their needs.
“Innovative approaches like this lead to blended retail experiences that are crucial in an increasingly digital world, while also solidifying the centre’s position as the go-to destination for essential and everyday needs in the region.
“With the addition of Woolworths, Warrawong Plaza stands out as the premier fresh food destination in the local community, offering a unique shopping experience with Woolworths, ALDI, Coles, and Country Grocer all conveniently located under one roof,” said Healy.
Woolworths State Property Manager for NSW, Brad Karge, said: “We’re thankful for the opportunity to open the doors of a new Woolworths supermarket at Warrawong Plaza, and our team are excited to help meet the in-store and online needs of the local community.”
