Joining Mastery Schools Australia and Burleigh Language College, Hillcrest Christian College has relocated its cutting-edge Year 9 transitional program to the Strand, homing a dedicated team of teachers working with the Year 9 cohort of approximately 160 students.
Hillcrest’s year 9 program, otherwise known as the ‘Rise Program,’ capitalises on The Strand’s features, boasting a picturesque view of Coolangatta Beach from level 2, providing the ideal environment for both indoor and outdoor learning experiences. With a focus on self-efficacy, community service and personal growth, the program and its subsequent scene foster collaboration, innovation, and success among students.

Hillcrest Christian College joins Mastery Schools Australia (MSA), which opened at The Strand in January of 2023. MSA’s innovative approach to education focuses on high-quality education for children who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream schooling. Their new location in The Strand has already had a positive impact on students.
