A new indoor-outdoor dining precinct, latest format David Jones and 50 new fashion and lifestyle stores will open with fanfare when the final major phase of The Glen’s $430 million redevelopment is officially unveiled on next Thursday 1 August.
After undergoing a two-year transformation, The Glen’s expanded and enhanced retail and dining experience will introduce new international brands, feature a range of Australia’s favourite retailers along with new dining experiences to enjoy with friends and family.
Centre Manager, Richard Devlin said, “It’s an exciting new chapter for The Glen and we can’t wait to open the doors to new brands, new boutiques and new experiences on 1 August.”
During festivities customers sip and shop, enjoying a complimentary glass of champagne, hear the latest DJ beats, snap up one of 500 complimentary showbags valued at $100 each and other opening day offers and exclusive experiences.
The Glen’s new indoor-outdoor dining precinct will be the perfect spot for shoppers to refuel with the first 10 restaurants to open on 1 August including Richmond’s popular Macelleria, Betty Burgers and Concrete, Tina’s Noodles and Vietnamese beer hall Bia Hoi.
At the heart of the new fashion mall, David Jones’ two-level store will offer the best of international and Australian brands, a café, personal shopping suite and beauty rooms. The iconic department stores’ opening day celebrations will kick off at 9.30am with a ribbon cutting, celebrity guest appearances and special in-store offers.
Cult Korean beauty brand, Innisfree are opening with the global juggernaut set to win fans with $2 sheet masks and their number one best-selling product, Green Tea Seed Serum, with 13 bottles sold every minute worldwide.
French beauty masterminds, L’Occitane will also open a flagship boutique joining Australian retail powerhouse MECCA, Endota Spa and The Body Shop.Renowned Australian brands Decjuba, Seed Heritage, Kikki K, Cotton On Mega, Blue Illusion and Honey Birdette are also new additions joining the centre.
Luxurious international brands Swarovski and Golston Jewellery will add sparkle while fashion influencer Elle Ferguson will open Mazzucchelli’s boasting the world’s finest Swiss watches and elite diamond brands.
International brand Superdry, Universal Store and Keiko’s first store outside Melbourne’s CBD headlines the centre’s growing youth offer.
“With something for everyone, every day, we are absolutely delighted to be the south east’s destination where fresh food, beauty, fashion, dining and people come together,” Devlin added.
Centre-wide The Glen will offer more than 260 retailers including international flagship stores H&M and UNIQLO, a fresh food market hall and an extensive fashion and lifestyle precinct with some of Australia’s most loved brands from here and overseas.
