As a former hub of industrial innovation, Rosebery Engine Yards has been given a new lease of life with the opening of Lune Croissanterie heralding an exciting chapter for Sydney’s retail and culinary scene.
As one of Australia’s most celebrated pastry brands, Lune is set to captivate locals and visitors alike with its artisanal creations at Roseberry Engine Yards.
Kate Reid, founder of Lune, expressed her enthusiasm about the new location, “The new site features a familiar industrial charm, serendipitously similar to Lune’s Fitzroy outpost. Each warehouse at Roseberry Engine Yards is heritage-listed for its local significance, from the former Commonwealth Weaving Mills to the former Westinghouse factory.”
Property developer Goodman is currently undertaking an adaptive reuse development of the unique 100 year old heritage warehouse.
Simon Johnson, Director of PEX Property Group representing Goodman, shared his excitement, emphasising the significance of Lune’s debut in NSW.
“We are delighted to welcome Lune as our signature retailer at Rosebery Engine Yards. Their decision to open their first store here in NSW, underscores the appeal and vibrancy of our precinct,” said Johnson. “The choice of Rosebery Engine Yards reflects our precincts growing reputation as a premier Sydney retail destination.”
Johnson further revealed the exciting lineup of new retailers set to join the precinct in 2024, including Zimmerman, Oroton, Estée Lauder, Aje, Rebecca Vallance, Viktoria & Woods, July and MJ Bale, plus many more to be announced soon. He highlighted the strong retail demand for Rosebery Engine Yards, and that only two F&B opportunities remain available at the site, due to the vast interest from quality retailers.
With its strategic location and specialised retailer mix, Rosebery Engine Yards continues to draw attention from leading brands and discerning consumers.
“The convergence of Lune and these esteemed brands underscores Rosebery Engine Yards’ evolution into a sought-after shopping and dining destination. The precinct’s industrial-chic ambiance and curated mix of retailers are attracting discerning consumers seeking a unique experience,” said Johnson.
Lune’s arrival promises to elevate Rosebery Engine Yards’ culinary offerings, complementing the diverse retail landscape and historic development.
The exciting addition of Lune further solidifies the precinct’s position as a dynamic precinct for fashion, lifestyle, and culinary excellence in Sydney.
Target date for practical completion is mid to late 2024.
