In order to meet the increasing demand of its online Perth market, Rockwear has decided to go ‘all in’, launching five stores in Perth within a two-month period between March and May 2021.
Rockwear, one of the original Australian activewear brands, was created by two fitness instructors back in 1991 with the goal of providing high-quality activewear that is functional, technical, fashionable and great value.
At the time, functional activewear did not really exist for those who enjoyed exercising. The brand continued to go from strength to strength and eventually sold to Australia’s Retail Apparel Group, which was later bought by Foschini. The brand has continued to innovate and remain relevant for 30 years, growing with the trend for everyday activewear.
While Rockwear is a staple in the wardrobe of female Queenslanders, during lockdown, the brand saw a massive spike in sales, especially in the Perth market, which led to the decision to open multiple stores.
The new Perth stores are located at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, Morley Shopping Centre, Westfield Carousel, Westfield Innaloo and Westfield Whitford City.
In addition to the Perth launch, Rockwear will expand nationally, with new stores popping up across New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria over the coming months.
Rockwear is for those who enjoy vigorous workouts, yoga, barre, walking, brunching and everything in between. It has always been an inclusive brand, catering from size 6 to 18, encouraging women to live an active life on their own terms and feel their very best.
