Richmond Marketplace, owned by ISPT is celebrating the completion of its latest $11 million refurbishment project with a weekend of jam-packed activities and events for local residents. The centre located in the outer north-western suburbs of Sydney is a sub-regional shopping centre anchored by a Woolworths Supermarket, Big W and over 57 specialty stores and services.
Local residents will benefit from the project’s improvements to the centre’s exterior spaces along March Street, as well as the expansion of the external courtyard with additional outdoor seating, a community accessible amphitheater and a new outdoor children’s play area.
The $11 million stage two refurbishment of Richmond Marketplace is part of ISPT’s ongoing commitment to provide high-quality and convenient shopping experiences for local communities.
ISPT Fund Manager Mark Bassett said it is exciting to launch the new refurbished shopping centre to the local community.
“Bringing communities together is part of our aim in this refurbishment, so we’re excited to host many activities and fun events this weekend to celebrate the refreshed and modernised shopping centre” Bassett said.
“We have already received overwhelming positive feedback about the refurbished shopping centre, and we’re looking forward to seeing local residents bring their families and friends to experience the new and improved facilities,” Bassett concluded.
ISPT is committed to creating growth for people and places through property and has owned the Richmond Marketplace since it opened in 1997.
Local residents were invited to visit the new verandah at Richmond Marketplace to enjoy art and craft workshops and face-painting as well as sample food, pat baby animals at the petting zoo and meet Peppa Pig. Shoppers also have the chance to win a $500 gift card by snapping a photo at the sunflower selfie wall.
