Region Group’s focus over the past 12 months and looking forward will continue to be unlocking value through a targeted investment strategy across a pipeline of centres.

The active pipeline sees an investment of more than $30 million across three community centres. A further 20 centres with investment opportunities are currently being assessed.

Region Group’s ambition to support better communities through life’s essentials underpins the focus of each of these active projects and the future pipeline.

The first tranche of repositioning projects is currently in the detailed design phase, and all are scheduled to be completed by the end of March 2025.

Lavington Square, located in Lavington, a northern suburb of Albury, NSW, is a sub-regional shopping centre with the only Big W within a 70km radius.

The investment will transform Lavington Square into a vibrant community space featuring a revitalised food hub with expanded seating, the introduction of a new kid’s play area, and an enhanced curation of essential retail.

Pakenham Central Marketplace

Pakenham Central Marketplace is a sub-regional shopping centre anchored by Woolworths and Big W and complemented by 32 specialty stores.

The investment will deliver an expanded central hub area catering to families through an enhanced food offer, additional areas to dwell, space for community activation, a new kids play area and improved centre ambience and amenity.

Miami One is located on the Gold Coast Highway, situated between Burleigh Heads and Broadbeach, Queensland. Servicing a loyal local community and growing visitor economy, the centre benefits from its close proximity to holiday accommodation, day visitors and residents, and will benefit from connectivity the light rail extension stage 3 will deliver.

The investment will see significant uplift across the customer experience of the centre including its unique forecourt, and a focus on curating the retail offer to support healthy lifestyles synonymous with the Gold Coast.

Delacombe Town Centre is located in Ballarat, Victoria’s third largest city, with the suburb Delacombe falling within the Ballarat West Growth Area.

The expansion of Delacombe Town Centre will see an additional 10,000m2 large format retail precinct added to the precinct, along with 297 car park spaces, complementing the existing sub-regional shopping centre owned by Region Group.

Woolworths, Planet Fitness, Hungry Jacks and The Reject Shop will be joining the stage 2 precinct, with more retailers to be announced soon.

In line with a projected growing population over the next nine years, Delacombe Town Centre precinct is well positioned to support better communities through life’s essentials.

The $31.5 million project is anticipated to be completed in December 2024.
