The Gold Coast’s shopping, dining, entertainment and lifestyle destination Robina Town Centre opened the doors to global beauty retailer MECCA last Friday 25 October, with the brand unveiling a new, large format concept store. QICGRE’s Robina Town Centre was carefully selected as the location for the beauty empire to roll out its first large format megastore in Queensland. Beauty enthusiasts can now access their favourite MECCA Cosmetica and MECCA Maxima products and services under the one roof.
Occupying 400m2 of space within Robina Town Centre’s west mall (formerly Apple), MECCA Robina will feature an exclusive edit of more than 100 make-up, skincare, and fragrance brands, delivering some of the world’s most luxurious and coveted beauty finds, as well as blockbuster brands customers know and love. Earlier this year, the Apple store relocated to another area of Robina Town Centre allowing the centre to add this mega MECCA store it its mix.
The launch of MECCA Robina comes as another major coup for the centre, following on from the recent addition of the Coast’s first LEGO® Certified Store and Glassons’ first Australian vintage concept store.
Kathleen Hart, General Manager of Robina Town Centre, commented, “The arrival of MECCA’s first large format Queensland megastore at Robina Town Centre signals another exciting milestone not only for our centre, but also for the local community as we continue to deliver new and first-to-market retail experiences to our customers. There is a strong demand from Gold Coast beauty lovers for this type of experiential retail destination, and we are looking forward to bringing the best of global beauty to Robina Town Centre this week as we open the doors to the new-look MECCA.”
The store’s makeup offering will include MECCA-exclusive, cult-classic products from NARS, Hourglass, Chantecaille and Stila alongside Maxima favourites Urban Decay, Too Faced, Smashbox and MECCA MAX. Skincare lovers will be able to explore a dedicated skin area with a compelling line-up of luxurious brands including Eve Lom, Drunk Elephant, Tatcha and Kate Somerville.
Beauty enthusiasts will also be treated to dedicated MECCA Perfumeria area within the store, where customers can browse a selection of the most sought-after brands. The Perfumeria will be home to fragrances from the likes of Byredo, Diptyque, Frederic Malle and 100 Bon.
MECCA’s dedicated Fragrance, Skin and Colour specialists will be available to help shoppers looking to unearth new beauty favourites, with dedicated stations available for makeup appointments, alongside a space for skincare consultations and treatments.
MECCA has more than 100 stand-alone stores spanning Australia and New Zealand. The megastore format has already proven successful in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand, where MECCA the new store concept has been rolled out.
