QIC this week commences construction on 5 Bond Street – a 12,000m2 A-Grade office development adjacent to its Eastland Shopping Centre.

Delivering CBD-standard amenities, the Fender Katsalidis-designed building is the latest milestone in the QIC’s planned evolution of Eastland and its surrounds into a future-ready hub for local business and industry.

“We look forward to supporting business growth in Ringwood through the creation of new office accommodation at 5 Bond Street,” said Daryl Stubbings, Director – Australian Investment Management at QIC. “By adding another tier of workspace solutions to this highly visible and easily accessed suburban location we can help more people to work closer to home. Ringwood is poised to become a vibrant centre for employment and entrepreneurialism as the community of SMEs and public service organisations based at Eastland swells.”

Bond Street represents the next phase of QIC’s continued evolution of the Eastland precinct in Ringwood

Located 23km from Melbourne’s CBD, Ringwood continues its rise as a hub for professional and public services. Positioned in one of Victoria’s strongest growth corridors, the new all-electric commercial building spans six levels of 2,183m2 floor plates, in addition to four levels of secure parking, with sustainable design features contributing to 6-star NABERS and 5-star Green Star ratings. Eastern Health, a leading specialist provider of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, will occupy approximately 5,000m2 across the ground floor and levels 5 and 6.

By adding new office and health services to the Eastland site, QIC continues to progress its long-held vision for Ringwood’s commercial and civic reinvigoration; a vision cultivated with local and state government partners over several years.

Situated mere steps from Eastland, 5 Bond Street enjoys doorstep access to the essential services, dining experiences and lifestyle amenities on offer at Maroondah’s largest shopping centre.

Occupiers can also make use of the accommodation and conferencing facilities of the 120-room Sage Hotel, which has proved a popular choice for business and leisure travellers alike since opening in 2017.

5 Bond Street will also overlook the international award-winning civic and hospitality precinct known as Ringwood Town Square, which QIC developed in 2016 around the architectural centrepiece of the council-owned Realm library.

Strategically positioned 300 metres from the major Ringwood bus and train interchange, the new office provides outstanding connectivity for residents of the outer-east and those doing business in the city.

5 Bond Street follows QIC’s recently completed $200 million office tower for the Department of Transport, home to VicRoads’ new flagship customer service centre and the state-of-the-art Waterman coworking space located on level three of the shopping centre.
