Lendlease’s Sunshine Plaza has recently welcomed popular online apparel retailer, Exotica Athletica into its very first physical store. Exotica Athletica has a strong online following of approximately 190,000 Facebook and 54,000 Instagram followers.
The Australian-owned and made, international active fashion wear brand caters to women of all shapes and sizes with ready-to-wear and custom-made apparel. The brand’s head office is located nearby in Noosa, where they employ more than 30 workers to produce their clothes.
Exotica Athletica opened its pop-up store in the centre on Sunday 28 July and already, it’s seeing loyal online customers flock to the store from as far as Toowoomba.
Lendlease’s General Manager, Pop Up & Commercialisation, Sally Harding said “Our Pop-Up team is always looking for ways we can add value for our customers and retailers, so we are very excited to have Exotica Athletica at Sunshine Plaza. Our customers really like their offering, and we hope to help more online brands test the market and move into bricks-and-mortar stores.”
General Manager at Exotic Athletica, Brittany Lewin said “We’ve been loving the online game for the past five years and thought – after a lot of requests from our fans – that opening a store is the next step closer to our tribe. It’s been such a wonderful experience meeting so many of our loyal customers and the feedback has been priceless! Our online store has been extremely successful, but customers really miss the touch and feel aspect of retail. In saying that, since opening, our online conversion rate has been increasing, and we’re loving the marketing potential this experience is giving us.”
