Frasers Property Australia is on the lookout for homewares retailers, adventure goods stores, automotive specialists, whitegoods brands, pet supply stores and other showroom retailers to be part of Western Sydney’s new large format retail destination as it launches Stage 2 of Eastern Creek Quarter (ECQ).

The second stage of ECQ will deliver approximately 11,600m2 of retail space with 20 to 25 tenancies, ranging from 250m2 to 2,500m2, as well as 350 on grade parking spaces.

The leasing campaign for ECQ Stage 2 has officially kicked off and there are also opportunities for indoor recreation centre operators, including children’s play centres and even swim schools, to ensure the centre delivers something new and interesting to Western Sydney’s retail landscape.

Tim Moore, General Manager – Retail Leasing, Frasers Property Australia says ECQ Stage 2 will offer an unparalleled opportunity for brand presence in a region benefiting from significant infrastructure investment and strong forecast population growth.

Opportunities for large format retailers and showrooms in key growth area

“The fundamentals for large format retailers and showrooms at ECQ demand real consideration. The site itself is easily accessible, with 11.2 million vehicles travelling along the Great Western Highway annually, and the population in the main trade area is undergoing significant growth,” Moore says.

“Stage 2 of ECQ is a prime opportunity for progressive, premium quality large format retailers to establish a high-profile presence in a connected location in Western Sydney’s new retail heartland.”

Large format retail leasing specialist Retail Projex has been appointed to coordinate the leasing campaign for ECQ Stage 2.

Cameron Henshaw, Managing Director of Retail Projex says: “ECQ is a landmark project for Western Sydney and we’re pleased to assist Frasers Property in the leasing of Stage 2, bringing to market 11,600m2 of large format showroom space, where we are seeking interest from a range of quality retailers eager to make their mark in this high-profile location.”

According to LocationIQ, the trade area for ECQ is forecast to spend about $13.1 billion in 2019, a number anticipated to grow to $23.6 billion by 2036. The area is categorised by younger, larger than average families with household income levels around 20% higher than the Australian benchmark of around $98,500.

ECQ Social is set to delight locals

Stage 1 of ECQ will be anchored by Woolworths and feature ‘ECQ Social’, a unique dining and entertainment precinct. Frasers Property is preparing to launch Stage 1 soon, with Stage 2 anticipated to open in late 2020.

“The new large format retail and showroom offer is an ideal complement to Stage 1 at ECQ, which will be launched soon, offering the local community and broader Western Sydney new levels of convenience and choice in a comfortable, sustainable and exciting atmosphere. We anticipate the leasing campaign will attract a mix of large format retailers and showrooms who want to be part of a centre which will set a new benchmark for the region,” Moore says.

ECQ will serve a large and growing catchment. It is within a 15-minute drive for 330,000 people and a 30-minute drive for 1.2 million people.

Stage 1 of ECQ will feature 1 MW of solar panels, a 200 kL onsite rainwater tank, extensive landscaping and trees in the external carpark area, and bicycle parking facilities, making it a world leader in sustainability. Stage 1 of ECQ has been awarded a 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built rating by the Green Building Council of Australia.
