Myer Toowoomba celebrates the completion of its upgrades including new lighting, flooring, and fixtures as well as the removal of many existing walls to open up the store, improved change rooms and entrance upgrade works, ensuring an even better customer experience for shoppers.

To mark the occasion, Myer’s Toowoomba Store Manager, Fiona Trevitt officially reopened the refurbished store on Saturday, 3 September, and to celebrate, Myer is hosting three weeks of festivities with a series of fun-filled activations including loaded waffles, loaded chocolate bars and complimentary coffee, with this weekend having a flower bouquet pop-up.

Trevitt said: “Our Toowoomba team were so excited to officially open our refurbished store to the community – it looks amazing and the response already from customers has been so positive. It really showcases our brands and extensive offering in the best possible way – in a modern, fresh and bright new layout.

“There are so many fun activities planned over the coming weeks to celebrate the official reopening with our customers and we encourage them to come and visit – we can’t wait to show them through the store and for them to see, first-hand, some of the fantastic new brands we have on offer.

“It has been great to officially open the refurbished store which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to our loyal customers and the Toowoomba community,” she said.

Myer originally opened in Toowoomba in 1962 (moving to Grand Central in 1996) and has been an important part of retail in Toowoomba since that time. Grand Central is the regions’ major retail centre, offering customers a curated blend of fashion and food. Myer and Grand Central announced an agreement to refurbish and upgrade the Myer Toowoomba store, while also agreeing to a new longer-term lease.

Centre Manager, Grand Central, Claire Torkington said: “Myer’s commitment to upgrading their premises in Grand Central demonstrated their long-term commitment to delivering exceptional retail offers for the local community.

“This new and improved look of the Myer store is a wonderful customer experience.

“We are excited to see our community take part in the Myer Bloom and Brew bar which just adds another facet for celebrating the arrival of Spring.”
