On Saturday the 22nd of October, Mildura Central celebrated 40 years by throwing a birthday extravaganza for its local community.

Mildura Central is a well-known shopping centre located in Mildura, Victoria. Originally named Mildura Centre Plaza, the centre opened its doors on the 26th of October 1982, comprising a Target Supermarket, Target Department Store with Garden Centre and about 850 car parks.

Now in 2022, Mildura Central spans 20,641m2 with more than 65 retailers and over 1,050 car parks. This year, the centre has welcomed a host of new retailers to the mix, including Dangerfield, Neverland, Oscar Wylee, PTC and most recently, Subway.

The centre-wide birthday celebrations included face painting, balloon twisting, a dance performance from Mildura’s own Limitless Dance, photo booth, popcorn, fairy floss and more, it was a day for the whole community, young and old to enjoy.

Mildura Central Centre Manager Leigh Fuller said that it was a fantastic day for the centre and local community, with ‘Boxing Day’ like crowds joining in on the fun.

In addition to the celebrations, Mildura Central concluded its ‘Win A Car’ competition at midnight on Saturday, with local resident Abbey Ryan, taking home a brand new MG3. The campaign saw more than 6,700 entries, with the campaign running for a period of 40 days in the lead-up to the weekend’s festivities.
