Hawaiian and QIC are pleased to announce works on the Claremont Quarter Laneway and Town Square redevelopment project will commence on Monday, 11 March, 2024, with the first phase of the operations focusing on the transformation of the Laneway.
Once complete, the reimagined and multifunctional Laneway and Town Square will deliver welcoming and engaging spaces for the community to connect, and opportunities for elevated food and beverage offerings to further enrich the Claremont experience.
The Claremont Quarter Laneway and Town Square redevelopment project is aligned with the Town of Claremont’s broader vision for the area and will strengthen the suburb’s position as a destination for shopping, restaurants, bars, nightlife attractions and community events.
The Laneway redevelopment marks a significant milestone in the evolution of Claremont Quarter and will deliver a vibrant and dynamic space, seamlessly connecting to the broader suburb.
Richard Kilbane, COO at Hawaiian said, “We are excited to be embarking on this next phase of redevelopment, which will greatly benefit our retailers and residents, and the wider community. This redevelopment demonstrates our continued commitment to the creation of a vibrant Claremont Town Centre, while solidifying Claremont Quarter as a premium retail and lifestyle destination.”
As the appointed builders for the project, Renascent, will first prioritise establishing a secure access pathway through the Laneway to ensure safe passageway to Gugeri Street, prior to any construction works taking place. Hoarding will also be installed during this time as an integral safety measure.
The Laneway redevelopment is expected to be complete by October, with works to the Town Square scheduled to also commence in coming months.
Further exciting announcements will be made as the project progresses.
