Lendlease’s Lakeside Joondalup in Perth celebrates 25 years of operation and to mark the occasion, the centre will beautify its ‘Station Square’ precinct with a giant and decorative birthday cake and display five large candles. Each candle will commemorate five important milestones from its 25-year history: the centre’s launch; opening of Grand Cinemas; opening of Station Square; the 2014 redevelopment opening; and the 25-year anniversary.
Lakeside Joondalup is one of WA’s most successful shopping centres reporting a moving annual turnover (MAT) of $689.72 million, the highest in WA in SCN’s 2019 Big Guns survey. The centre attracts 11.59 million customers visitations annually and has strong speciality productivity of $9,878/m2.

Gemma Hannigan, Lakeside Joondalup Centre Manager, said that decorating the Centre was an important way to celebrate the milestone. “Lakeside Joondalup has seen enormous growth over twenty-five years, culminating with the 2014 redevelopment where the Centre truly took its place as the hub of Joondalup City”.
“Before we look to our future, we must first recognise our silver milestone with some fun and frivolity and hope our customers will take, post and share some very Instagrammable pictures of our decorations”, she added.
Lakeside Joondalup is home to Myer, Target, Kmart, Big W, Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Farmer Jack’s as well as more than 300 specialty retailers, a cinema, two food emporiums and multiple outdoor dining and fashion options.
