Knight Frank’s Asset Management Services (AMS) team has been appointed to manage The Oasis, a mixed-use asset on the Gold Coast.
The property at 75 Surf Parade in Broadbeach is owned by Abacus and comprises a convenience-based shopping centre and office space, including flex workspaces.
The Oasis has 25,465m2 of gross lettable area, with 110 specialty stores located across two levels. It is anchored by a Woolworths supermarket, with other major tenants including The Broadbeach Tavern and Superannuation Advice Australia.
Knight Frank’s AMS team has been appointed by Abacus to manage the asset, with the team led by Ho-Yen Fan, Jimmy Corbo and Caitlin Donaldson.
Tammy Kahler and Troy Sherburd have joined the Abacus/Knight Frank team as the new Senior Centre Manager and Senior Operations Manager respectively for The Oasis.
Knight Frank currently manages 11 commercial assets for Abacus across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the ACT, but The Oasis is the first retail asset owned by Abacus to be managed by the firm.
Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson said the team was very excited to be managing another asset for Abacus.
“Our various teams have provided an excellent level of service to Abacus across its commercial portfolio, hence our appointment on The Oasis, which is one of its most high-profile assets,” he said.
“Abacus’ confidence in Knight Frank also extends to our Project Management team, who are managing CAPEX projects on 11 of their commercial assets nationally.
“We look forward to providing a seamless delivery of works across Abacus Group’s portfolio, and building upon our existing relationship.”
Knight Frank Head of Asset Management Services Queensland Caitlin Donaldson said: “The Oasis is an iconic property on the Gold Coast and has undergone several staged refurbishments, with the latest update having been completed in 2023.
“The asset is well positioned to capitalise on the strong population growth and the expanding tourist market on the Gold Coast, and we look forward to managing the asset to ensure it maintains its high-quality profile.”
The Oasis will add to the 500-plus retail properties that Knight Frank already manage for a range of clients.
