Kidchella, an internationally-inspired, Summer music and crafts festival has opened in Melbourne’s West and you don’t need to camp out for tickets or drive to the desert! Designed for both the young (and young at heart), and for the first time ever, Highpoint Shopping Centre is hosting Kidchella from Monday 21 – Friday 25 January, followed by Summer Nights from Saturday 2 – Sunday 3 February.

An Instagrammer’s heaven, Summer Nights will be headlined by a Coachella-inspired labyrinth and walkthrough cactus garden, alongside tent-shaped dressing rooms for Festival Makeovers by Mecca Maxima.

Highpoint’s youngest partygoers are invited to Kidchella which includes hands-on craft activities where little ones can create their very own flower crown, tote bag, dream catcher or bracelet. The event week will end with a big finale, where kids can hit the dancefloor at the ultimate silent disco on Friday 25 January.

In addition to the Instagram-worthy photo moments, festival goers can get involved in ‘crafternoons’ to create their very own beaded and jewelled festival accessories, soak up the sound of live DJs, sip on delicious summer cocktails, and taste the roaming festival food options being served up by a series of Highpoint food retailers.
