Highpoint Shopping Centre, the largest fashion and shopping destination in Melbourne’s West, has announced five new store openings this August which are set to elevate the world-class retail centre’s fashion and culinary experience for all visitors.

Throughout August, Highpoint Shopping Centre will welcome a brand-new Victoria’s Secret store, Chikita, Muji and more.

Known for its fashion-inspired collections, fine fragrances, body care and loungewear, Victoria’s Secret opened its doors at Highpoint on 1 August marking the brand’s first store in the area.

The new Highpoint location features an innovative store design set to make the shopping experience unique for all customers with highlights including streamlined navigation, an enhanced fitting room experience and a beauty bar.

An Australian-first opening at Highpoint in late August is Chikita, a family-friendly dining destination famous for its flame-grilled chicken, burgers and wraps.

Originally launched in Vietnam, Chikita has expanded to Malaysia and is now ready to make waves in the local market.

Chikita’s Australian-born founder, Asif Mehrudeen, has partnered with local hospitality entrepreneur Mais Mazluhrman to launch the first Australian store with plans for significant expansion across the country.

Another exciting addition to the Highpoint family is Muji, which will open its debut store on 29 August. Known for its minimalist and functional design aesthetic across women’s, men’s and kids’ fashion as well as the latest in accessories and homewares, Muji will expand Highpoint’s fashion and lifestyle shopping experience.

Highpoint General Manager, Kate Rooney, said the store openings in August is testament to the center’s position as a retail destination that inspires and excites shoppers every day.

“We are thrilled to welcome these new retailers to Highpoint, with Victoria’s Secret and Muji opening for the first time northwest of Melbourne’s CBD, and Chikita choosing Highpoint for its first-ever store in Australia. The new retailers showcase the personalised and elevated experience that awaits our shoppers at Highpoint,” said Rooney.
