The GPT Group (GPT) today announced the appointment of Angus McNaughton as a Non- Executive Director. McNaughton’s appointment will take effect from 1 November, 2018.
McNaughton was the CEO and Managing Director of Vicinity Centres from August 2015 until December 2017. Prior to that time, he served as the Managing Director of Colonial First State Property from 2011, before becoming the CEO and Managing Director of ASX-listed Novion Property Group in 2014. McNaughton led Novion through to the completion of the merger between Novion and Federation Centres, renamed as Vicinity Centres, in June 2015.
GPT Chairman Vickki McFadden said she was very pleased to welcome Angus to the Board.
“Angus brings extensive real estate and funds management experience, gained across a variety of roles, to the Board. These skills and experience will be a valuable addition to the Board, and we look forward to Angus making a significant contribution to the future of the Group.”
The Group also announced that Brendan Crotty will retire from the Board in November 2018 after nine years of service.
“Brendan joined the GPT Board following a period of significant transformation for the Group,and his deep knowledge of property investment markets has been of significant benefit to the Group. Brendan’s experience and market standing was more recently recognised by being named inaugural chair of the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation”, McFadden said.
“Brendan has made a most valuable contribution to the Group over the last nine years and we wish him all the best in the future and in particular with his new role chairing the recently established NHFIC.”
